Young Health Champions

What is the Young Health Champions programme?

Young people are often overlooked when services are being developed or information is sent out.
The Young Health Champions programme was developed to solve this issue and to give younger people a voice. It was created by young people, for young people.

The aim of the programme is to empower the youth in Newham to make a difference by working together, supporting peers and helping to create a more informed and safe community.

Who can be a Young Health Champion?

We have already engaged with over 25 Young people but we need many more young people to join us. You just have to be studying or living in Newham, aged between 10 and 25 years old and passionate about helping your peers and the wider community.

Anyone interested in becoming a Young Health Champion just needs to email us on younghealthchampion@newham.gov.uk for more details.
