Being a Parent Course at Rokeby School

Being a Parent courses help parents learn practical communication skills for everyday life so they can bring up confident, happy and co-operative children.

In a safe setting, parents can talk to other parents about their experiences and work through their concerns in a non-judgemental space. This peer-led parenting course helps parents support each other in the development of emotional resilience in their children by exploring themes including understanding feelings, managing behaviour, developing skills in listening, setting boundaries and building in family quality time.

Parents will leave this course feeling better able to:

  • Help others by sharing your experience as a parent
